I favor the practical and the ‘How To’. Mr. Furman’s book is that and more.I tend to shy away from the metaphysical ‘believe in yourself and the universe will give you what you want without hard work’ type of books. I’m also wary of the dry (and boring) books with flowcharts. Those are the ones written by people with little experience but they’re sure the information will work after all, the data can’t lie! No thanks. My choices are the ones that give me lists of great headlines, have real word examples of advertising or show me how to do the latest Photoshop. (Sorry Adobe but I like to use that term. Hope it doesn’t hurt your trademark if it falls into common usage!) I favor the practical and the ‘How to’. Mr. Furman’s book is that and more.
He shows you the common mistakes many people make and takes you into areas you may not consider. A few examples include cleaning out your car to impress clients and how smoking can cost you customers. The book will have something of value for everyone. New arrivals to the world of entrepreneurship will receive advice from someone who’s been there. Old timers will receive new ways of thinking. It’s a winning situation for any type of business person.
